- ➤ Amazon is applying for an NPDES permit to discharge cooling water from its Salem Township data center into the Susquehanna River (a warm water fishery); environmental experts caution that limited details raise concerns over long-term effects while the DEP has yet to set a timeline for review. - ➤ The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources announced an $82 million investment for over 295 recreation and conservation projects statewide (including about $10 million for northeast and northcentral areas).
