Retired coach Mark Duda, diagnosed with Parkinson’s, will appear on WVIA-TV’s Keystone Edition airing Monday at 7 p.m. The program highlights his 32 years at Lackawanna College and his belief that every player deserves a chance.

Flames burned through an apartment building on McAlpine Street in Avoca just before 10 a.m. Saturday, as five residents escaped safely while an unknown number of pets were lost, and fire crews from Avoca, Laflin, and Duryea are investigating the cause (state police fire marshal).
