  • Scranton firefighters are holding a fundraising raffle for a handcrafted leather fire helmet (size large) in honor of longtime firefighter Mike Hales, with tickets costing $20; the drawing is set for March 1 and proceeds aid his family with rising expenses.  FOX 56
  • The Clarks Summit Festival of Ice will run from Friday, Jan. 30 to Sunday, Feb. 1 featuring live ice carving contests, photo opportunities, parades and community events at local venues including the Citizens Bank parking lot and churches.  The Abington Journal
  • Saint Joseph’s Center in Dunmore held its Winter Children’s Clothing Drive on Martin Luther King Day (Jan. 19) and received over 60 donations as community members dropped off items drive through. Volunteers sorted the winter clothing to help local families stay warm this season.  FOX 56
