On Sunday morning, hundreds gathered in Jessup to watch the debut of a fortune-telling ferret that forecast an early spring — an event that brought the community together despite near-zero temperatures.

A water main break on Saturday affected about 55 Scranton customers and was fixed by 11 a.m. Sunday, but Pennsylvania American Water said up to 45,000 customers may still see discolored water—residents are advised to flush cold water until it runs clear.
