- ➤ Northeast and Central Pa are celebrating 100 years of Black History with a month-long series of free films, trivia, and dance shows. In Scranton, events at Black Scranton Project Center began Feb. 5 and continue while other shows are scheduled in nearby towns (e.g., Bloomsburg, Orwigsburg) through Feb. 28. WVIA

- ➤ House Bill 17 will require PA schools to teach cursive handwriting. It passed in both legislative houses — now set for presentation to Gov. Shapiro. WNEP
