  • Scranton Area Community Foundation earned national re-accreditation under the Community Foundations National Standards as it met rigorous benchmarks for transparency, governance and stewardship; CEO Laura Ducceschi said the accolade reinforces donor confidence and community service.  FOX 56

CULTURE NEWS

  • Two new films open in theaters today. Wuthering Heights stars Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi in a Gothic tale — while GOAT is an animated underdog sports film produced by Stephen Curry that brings a mix of drama and fun to the local screens.  WVIA
  • Today, a local theater in Tunkhannock held a preview day to show trailers for its Winterfest film festival. The festival will run from Feb. 20 to March 12, with a post-festival discussion planned on March 13.  FOX 56

HEALTH NEWS

  • Salmon fillets sold at BJ's in Pennsylvania were recalled on Wednesday due to listeria concerns after FDA testing detected the bacteria — the recalled lot sold from Jan. 31 to Feb. 7 carries lot number 3896 and UPC code 888670025963, and customers are advised to request a refund.  WNEP
  • Lehigh Valley Hospital-Dickson City passed a health inspection after a fire damaged its orthopedic wing last week and reopened today. The emergency room resumed at 7 a.m. and operating rooms at 9 a.m. — repairs on other units continue.  WVIA

  • Wyoming Valley Clutch remains undefeated at 15-0 in the ABA with four games left before playoffs. Coach Kevin Major credits strong team chemistry + the WVIA podcast in Scranton highlights local sports news including high school, wrestling and swimming events on Feb. 13.  WVIA
