- ➤ Scranton nonprofit Black Scranton Project is transforming a century-old PNC Bank building (on North Main Avenue) into a center for Black arts and culture that will host Juneteenth block parties (and Black History Month events). Founder Glynis M. Johns says the center will preserve local stories from the 1800s. FOX 56
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ West Scranton Intermediate School held an open house Thursday night (at 1401 Fellows St.) to show off its fully renovated, modernized building. The three-and-a-half-year project cost nearly $40 million, including a $10 million grant. FOX 56

- ➤ Utility work in Dickson City will restrict Main Street to one alternating lane on Thursday, Mar. 12, causing delays for drivers + officials advise extra caution. FOX 56
