  • Hundreds gathered at Dr. Edwards Memorial Congregational Church in Wilkes-Barre to remember 14-year-old La’niyah Clark (affectionately called Lala) as the community mourned her tragic death after she was reported missing on Jan. 17 and later found.  WNEP

  • Parade Day is boosting tourism in Scranton as local bars report heavy foot traffic. Backyard Ale House hosted a full-day event for St. Patrick’s Day (with live music and drink specials) and expects the busy celebration to drive high profits.  FOX 56

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Gas prices in the state climbed as AAA reported an average of about $3.69 per gallon on Saturday (Mar. 14) after 16 consecutive days of gains; NEPA stations charged higher at prices between $3.70 and $3.79 along major highways and in metro areas.  FOX 56
