  • Today, Mayfield hosted a hunting and fishing expo at William Walker House Company in Lackawanna County featuring small businesses, basket raffles, food and 36 vendors who raised funds for the Gino Merli Veterans Center.  WNEP

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Penn York Highlanders (a pipe and drum band founded in 1956) practiced extensively before joining the St Patrick's Day parade in Wilkes Barre, tuning their instruments and donning uniforms as a tribute to local tradition. Members volunteer weekly out of a genuine passion for the art.  FOX 56

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • WVIA’s Sarah Scinto and Borys Krawczeniuk discussed progress on plans to re-establish passenger rail service between Scranton and New York City (part of their News Voices feature) which also aired on WVIA Radio.  WVIA
