- ➤ Residents in Archbald are rallying to limit data centers to the industrial district after trees were cleared along Route 6, sparking community concern. The grassroots group held meetings, collected 500 signatures, and raised $25,000 for legal help + additional hearings are scheduled in the coming weeks. FOX 56

- ➤ The Greater Scranton Black Diamonds Pipe Band is back in local parades after a 2025 bus crash injured members and cancelled St. Patrick’s Day events. They will march in Milford’s parade on March 21 (after already playing in Pittston and Scranton). WVIA

- ➤ Gasoline prices have risen nearly 80 cents from last month, with pumps averaging about $3.72 per gallon while diesel climbs $1.34 to almost $5 a gallon, as global supply disruptions and reduced flows through the Strait of Hormuz may raise costs for Scranton drivers today. WVIA
- ➤ Gas prices in Pennsylvania rose for 18 consecutive days and reached about $3.72 per gallon on Monday, March 16 — analysts linked the rise to oil supply disruptions from delayed shipments in the Strait of Hormuz; some Northeast stations charged even higher prices. FOX 56

- ➤ On Monday, first responders gathered in Dalton (Lackawanna County) to sharpen their response to natural gas emergencies during training hosted by the Dalton Fire Company, with a UGI Utilities representative leading exercises on gas leaks and carbon monoxide incidents. FOX 56
