- ➤ Scranton police arrested Anibal Diaz, 37, after he fled on an unregistered ATV and then on foot—leaving behind an overturned vehicle and a discarded helmet—resulting in charges of fleeing police and related crimes. PA Homepage
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ U.S. Rep. Rob Bresnahan will host a telephone town hall on March 25 at 5:30 p.m. to let district residents call in directly and share their views— his spokeswoman said the event is designed to reach more locals while limiting participation to those in the district. WVIA
- ➤ Lackawanna County's Department of Parks and Recreation launched a sports gear recycling program to repurpose unused equipment for community benefit — the program accepts gear for many sports and donations can be dropped off at McDade Park daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with items used in county programs or given to youth sports teams.
