- ➤ Yesterday, cadets from Penn State Health and the Pennsylvania State Police attended a crisis management course at Lackawanna College — they learned de-escalation skills through presentations, discussion groups, and live scenarios; organizers plan to make the class an annual training to better prepare both new and experienced officers. - ➤ The Scranton School for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Children in South Abington hosted its first esports gaming night in its gym, featuring Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros with 28 teams from nine schools and drawing 135 players and spectators; organizers plan to repeat the event in 2027.
