CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A 25-year-old man from Scranton was arrested after a high-speed chase across several counties on March 30 for allegedly stealing a 2010 Ford Fusion from Blooming Grove Township, and police stopped his vehicle on Interstate 81 using a precision immobilization technique—then caught him on foot to face charges including outstanding warrants. - ➤ A federal judge ruled Monday that Pennsylvania election boards cannot discard mail-in ballots just because the envelopes do not have the right handwritten date, saying the rule burdens the right to vote. Berks County officials may seek an appeal—this decision affects ballots in all 67 counties and follows the loss of more than 10,000 votes in 2022. FOX 56
