- ➤ Volunteers distributed 2000 meals during the annual Family to Family Easter Food Basket Giveaway on Wednesday outside the Scranton Cultural Center, partnering (Friends of the Poor and Catherine McAuley Center) to fill bags with essentials like ham and vegetables for residents ahead of Easter. - ➤ Volunteer fire companies in Luzerne, Carbon, and Schuylkill counties are selling Easter flower baskets — proceeds will fund new fire equipment and training — with sales running at local stations until Saturday.
