- ➤ Mortgage rates have risen over five weeks, with the 30-year fixed rate now at 6.46% (Freddie Mac data), a trend that may slow the spring homebuying season for Scranton buyers as inflation pressures from the war in Iran take effect. FOX 56
- ➤ Local farmers face a tough growing season as fertilizer and fuel costs have soared due to global supply disruptions. The price for fertilizer has doubled to about $800 and rising fuel costs are straining their budgets in this challenging market. FOX 56

- ➤ Syracuse University held an emotional ceremony Monday for new men's basketball coach Gerry McNamara, a Scranton native, with over 3,000 fans and alumni present to celebrate his appointment.
