- ➤ Today, Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission employees and volunteers stocked Merli-Sarnoski Park in Lackawanna County with Brook Trout from Benner Spring State Fish Hatchery—releasing over 4.3 million trout into local waterways. Anglers need a state trout permit to fish in over 120 lakes and nearly 700 stream sections—with the season opening at 8 a.m. and running until Sept. 1. WVIA
