  • Hundreds of local students prepared for prom today when 98.5 KRZ held its KRZ Closet event at the Steamtown marketplace—offering over 300 new and gently used dresses for $10 each. Funds raised will support the NEPA Youth Shelter that helps kids in need.  PA Homepage

  • My Mother's Delicacies Bakery in Scranton has been a local staple for over 35 years (baking hand-rolled rugelach from a family Polish recipe) and serves fresh pastries. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Gov. Josh Shapiro urged lawmakers on February 4 to create an adult-use cannabis program that he said would recapture revenue lost to neighboring states and allow regulated sales early next year. His fifty-one and a half billion dollar budget proposal includes ten million dollars for a restorative justice program, twenty-five million for agriculture support, and funds for enforcement—while critics warn legalization may boost black market sales and complicate DUI checks.  WVIA

  • The University of Scranton women's lacrosse team beat Catholic 19 to 6 in a conference game—Erin Reich scored her 200th goal as Jillian Lopez opened the scoring and Grace Lane added key points.
