- ➤ On Palm Sunday, community members gathered to honor local music legend Bill Kelly, who started his career in a firehouse and had a hit record by age 19 before opening for Queen. The tribute featured memories and music from family and friends—proceeds went to his wife Ann. FOX 56
- ➤ Dozens of kids (aged 5 to 13) joined a free Junior Basketball Clinic hosted by Misericordia University's basketball teams, with each child leaving with a size 6 basketball from the (Basketball Pyramid art installation by David Huffman). - ➤ Bishop Joseph Bambera led a packed Palm Sunday mass at the Cathedral of St. Peter in Scranton to mark the start of Holy Week — the service began in the courtyard and moved inside, with palms given to the faithful that will later be burned for Ash Wednesday. FOX 56

- ➤ Fire instructors from the Pennsylvania State Fire Academy led a two-day training exercise in Dickson City this past weekend to teach firefighters how to handle flashovers. The drill used a mobile container that produced heavy smoke to mimic a real fire and helped crews from Dickson City, Throop, and Blakely Fire Departments learn when to withdraw for safety — a key method to improve response skills.
