  • Terrence Burke took over Diamon K Inc, a 70-year-old recycling plant in Scranton on March 1. The facility processes up to 600,000 lbs of recyclable material daily across four warehouses — Burke plans to expand operations to serve local business needs while promoting environmental reuse.  FOX 56

CULTURE NEWS

  • The University of Scranton and the Greenhouse Project at Nay Aug Park will dedicate the ‘Spirit of Lenapehoking in Nay Aug Park’ sign on Sunday, Apr. 19 at noon — Lenape elder Curtis Zunigha will lead a cultural program and seed planting to honor indigenous heritage.  WVIA

  • Lackawanna College and local developer John Basalyga are redeveloping the former Scranton Center building (on Adams Avenue) to expand the college's capacity for Health Science programs and Division II athletics; work is underway and will complete later this year.  WNEP
