Good morning, Scranton. Here's your local news at a glance for Friday, the 18th of April.

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • PennDOT officials announced that electric vehicle drivers must now pay a road use tax during vehicle registrations—a fee that began on April 1 and helps pay for road and bridge repairs. Gov. Shapiro signed Act 85 last year so that the tax supports the same upkeep as the gas fee does.  FOX 56
