  • Today, Good Natured features Kat Bolus covering Earth Day with the Mah Jongg Social Club of NEPA and Don Jacobs reporting on turkey season. National champion Hunter Wallis will host a youth turkey hunt on Apr. 25 to benefit the Catch-A-Dream Foundation (community event) as other events are previewed.  WVIA

EDUCATION NEWS

  • High schoolers and young adults met Tuesday night in Pittston for TASC (ages 14 to 21), a free program offering hands-on activities for job readiness and friendship building; spring sessions end April 28, with a resume planned in late August and an open house Sept. 15 to Sept. 19.  FOX 56

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Residents gathered Tuesday night in Jermyn at a PPL session on a proposed power upgrade that would add a substation, switchyards, and transmission lines in Lackawanna County; they raised concerns over environmental impact+ rising costs as the project awaits PUC approval with construction set for no earlier than 2027.  FOX 56

HEALTH NEWS

  • Pennsylvania American Water lifted the boil water advisory for Clarks Green and South Abington Township customers Tuesday after tests showed water met safe levels, so affected residents have resumed normal water use.  FOX 56
