- ➤ The Dietrich Theater is hosting a free three-day book club for sixth graders exploring 'The Wild Robot.' It begins Thursday, May 7 at 4 p.m. with follow-up sessions on May 14 and May 21 at the theater, where participants will receive a free book and enjoy lively discussions. The Abington Journal
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Drivers in Lackawanna County will face delays on I-81 northbound from Monday, May 4 through Wednesday, May 6 when PennDOT restricts the right lane between Exit 182 and Exit 186. The work is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and includes base repairs and crack sealing. FOX 56
- ➤ Drivers on I‑80 should expect delays next week as PennDOT will close the eastbound passing lane to remove dead trees. The work is set to run daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Exits 256 through 260 in Luzerne County) from Monday, May 4 through Thursday, May 7. FOX 56
