The Dietrich Theater is hosting a free three-day book club for sixth graders exploring 'The Wild Robot.' It begins Thursday, May 7 at 4 p.m. with follow-up sessions on May 14 and May 21 at the theater, where participants will receive a free book and enjoy lively discussions.

Drivers in Lackawanna County will face delays on I-81 northbound from Monday, May 4 through Wednesday, May 6 when PennDOT restricts the right lane between Exit 182 and Exit 186.

The work is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and includes base repairs and crack sealing.

Drivers on I‑80 should expect delays next week as PennDOT will close the eastbound passing lane to remove dead trees.

The work is set to run daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Exits 256 through 260 in Luzerne County) from Monday, May 4 through Thursday, May 7.

The Hershey Bears tied the Atlantic Division Semifinal series after beating the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins 2-1, with Brett Leason scoring first and Aidan McDonough netting for the Penguins (series tied 1-1).
