- ➤ Edward J. Lynett Jr., a longtime publisher who led The Scranton Times and The Times-Tribune through decades of growth in local journalism, has died. He helped expand the family-owned media business into a major regional presence; further details of his passing have not been released. FOX 56
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Gas prices at local stations have risen to between $4.30 and $4.70 a gallon—about 30 cents higher than last week and near the 2022 highs, while electric charging costs increased to 41 cents per kWh, and diesel prices are also climbing due to summer blends and taxes. FOX 56
