- ➤ Governor Josh Shapiro’s administration launched Healthy Moms, Vibrant Futures this spring as a 5-year maternal health plan to reduce mortality and morbidity through a federal grant + 16 community listening sessions across the state. WVIA
- ➤ At the top of Harrison Avenue in Carbondale, a new rehabilitation facility for women recovering from addiction will open mid-May, offering 26 beds, a full kitchen, and private baths + support in job interviews and driver’s license help. - ➤ NEPA Ecotour will be held on Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7 with 40 cyclists riding 85 miles from Ararat to Berwick. Riders begin at 9 a.m. at Scranton’s Lackawanna Heritage Valley Authority office on Saturday and finish on Sunday at Test Track Park. WVIA
