- ➤ Scranton held an Armed Forces Day parade that started at the Gino Merley Center and moved to the courthouse square—where people cheered active soldiers, sailors, and airmen while local musicians played. Chief Warrant Officer 4 Danny Stella said the event, which returned after a COVID-19 break, honors service members and their families. FOX 56
- ➤ Warrior Strong hosted a free outdoor yoga session along Adams Avenue in Lackawanna County on Saturday to honor Armed Forces Day and help veterans overcome loneliness—Program Director Christopher Smith said the session used physical fitness to reconnect veterans with the community before the parade. - ➤ Exaltation of the Holy Cross Parish held its annual drive-thru Potato Pancake Fest at its parking lot in Hanover Township—volunteers used homemade batter to fry thousands of pancakes for hundreds of cars.
