- ➤ Rescue workers from Laura's Hope Rescue in Hop Bottom report that Tucson, a six-year-old poodle mix rescued from a hoarding situation two months ago (by the shelter), is thriving in foster care; his four siblings are also available for adoption and learning to trust people. WNEP

- ➤ Interstate 81 northbound (mile marker 140 near the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Beltway) was closed on May 22 because of a crash, and officials advise drivers to take alternate routes until a detour is set. FOX 56

- ➤ During WWII, local Dorothy Hunt wrote a 110-foot letter filled with words and drawings for her husband Lester, creating a cherished family heirloom in Scranton — his sons now plan to preserve this historic treasure. WNEP
