- ➤ Officials broke ground on a D&L Trail expansion in Luzerne County, connecting a new segment between Oliver Mills and Mountain Top. Crews are clearing trees and grading the path for hiking, biking, and skiing when the project wraps up by year’s end. FOX 56
- ➤ Chinchilla Hose Company will partner with Firehouse Concessions’ food truck — serving hot specialty subs and pizzas — at South Abington Park to raise funds for new thermal imaging cameras; the event runs through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. FOX 56
- ➤ Today, Good Natured on WVIA featured geocaching with Don Jacobs in Monroe County to celebrate America 250 and Kat Bolus previewed a NEPA Ecotour biking event set for June 6 and 7 while the show visited a new community garden in Kingston run by Green Neighbors Network. WVIA

- ➤ Yesterday, Cyber Academy families attended an end of year picnic at Nay Aug Park, meeting at Schimelfenig Pavilion for games, raffles, and face painting. With 318 attendees and nearly 1,000 enrolled students, the event showed a strong face to face connection and hints at more expansion—good news for the community. FOX 56
