- ➤ The public pool at Lackawanna State Park reopened today after four years of closure due to a vinyl liner problem and staffing shortages — it now has a new plaster liner, more lifeguards, weekend hours from 11 to 7, and discounted entry after 4 with free admission for kids under 38 inches. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Earth Conservancy was awarded a $6.7 million AMLER grant from the PA Department of Environmental Protection to transform its Hanover 7A site — a former strip mine — into a community park with fields, a walking trail, and an inclusive playground.
