- ➤ On Sunday, June 15, the Iron Horse Society hosted the sold-out Father's Day Express from Scranton to Jessup with 170 passengers riding a steam-powered train that celebrated the area's rail heritage — town festivities and a model train giveaway helped fund the restoration of additional passenger cars. The society plans more summer events including an ice cream train ride and Railfest on Labor Day weekend. FOX 56
- ➤ Over the weekend, the Ritz Theater hosted Road to Warped Tour in downtown Scranton, featuring skateboarding, punk rock music, a ferris wheel, live wrestling and food trucks. Owner Josh Balz said he would push for a closed street next time to boost safety and make the festival bigger — a change planned for future events. FOX 56
