- ➤ Scranton detective Kyle Gilmartin—shot in the head while on duty in January 2024—was honored as a hometown hero at Sunday's Phillies game against the Cincinnati Reds when he received a Phillies jersey. WNEP
- ➤ Volunteers planted a Healing Garden at Endless Mountains Vineyards on Sunday to give the community a place to honor loved ones and pets with engraved bricks and a rainbow bridge. The vineyard asks for donations (dirt, plants, trees and tools) and will hold a brick-laying and yoga event next month (details to be announced). FOX 56

- ➤ Officials in Lackawanna County say a section of State Route 590 is closed due to flooding — PennDOT has been called to the scene and expects the road to reopen by noon today. WNEP

- ➤ Reptile lovers gathered last Sunday at the Hilton Hotel Conference Center in Downtown Scranton for the Seventh Annual Electric City Reptile Expo. The event showcased many reptiles — lizards and snakes — and organizers said they will hold a November expo as the second of three scheduled events this year. PA Homepage
- ➤ Scranton hosted its 8th Electric City Reptile Expo at the Hilton Conference Center where visitors learned about many reptiles including crested geckos and Cuban vipers. The expo changed minds about these animals and will hold its next show on Sunday, November 16th at Hilton Scranton. FOX 56
- ➤ Tom Spott, a license plate collector in West Scranton, shared his historic collection including a rare 1942 plate as Pennsylvania introduces a new Liberty Bell design to honor its heritage and boost tourism. Drivers can order the new plate at PennDOT’s Riverfront Office while continuing to use their existing plates until current inventories run out — blending local history with modern updates. WVIA
