- ➤ A former insurance office building on Montage Mountain will be redeveloped into a cyber charter school center by Commonwealth Charter Academy — a project costing $33.5 million that will support virtual teaching, testing, and staff work. - ➤ The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection says wildfire smoke from central Canada will push into parts of the state today—placing 20 counties, including Lackawanna, under a Code Orange alert and advising sensitive groups to avoid heavy outdoor activity while residents reduce gas-powered equipment use.
