- ➤ Board members at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital voiced strong concerns over the potential sale to Tenor Health Foundation, which signed a letter of intent to buy Wilkes-Barre General, Moses Taylor, and Regional Hospital of Scranton—fearing that the new owner’s inexperience may divert profits away from their hospital. - ➤ West Nile virus was found in four mosquito samples in Scranton on July 28 with no human infections reported—officials say residents should remove standing water and wear long sleeves when outside.
