- ➤ Pennsylvania state trooper—William Jenkins—who survived an ambush while on duty Thursday walked out of Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center Sunday and was met by support from officers from Scranton and nearby departments. FOX 56
- ➤ A former correctional officer from Dickson City—Santino Bellucci—was sentenced to 252 months for conspiracy to distribute oxycodone and fentanyl that resulted in a death during drug transactions in Lackawanna and Luzerne Counties between January 2022 and February 2023 after an investigation by the FBI and Dunmore Police Department. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Residents in Warminster have endured harmful PFAS chemical contamination from firefighting foam for years — lawmakers now support a bill that will ban its manufacture, sale, and distribution starting July 1, 2026. The legislation also plans to prohibit its use one year later to protect drinking water and reduce firefighters' exposure. WVIA
