- ➤ A Scranton man pleaded guilty to filing fraudulent stimulus fund applications during the Covid-19 pandemic and was sentenced to over four years in federal prison & must pay $858,000 in restitution. FOX 56

- ➤ Clifton Township supervisors have not reached an agreement with 1778 Rich Pike LLC — a Doylestown developer planning a large data center along Route 380 — as residents voiced strong concerns at a public meeting on August 22. - ➤ On Friday outside the Lackawanna County Courthouse, home care workers and supporters rallied for a state budget that includes a $21-million investment to raise wages by two dollars—aiming to help caregivers earn a livable income despite low pay and no benefits.
