  • The 42nd annual Pittston Tomato Festival Parade drew residents on Saturday as a two-mile route began at 11 a.m. on Main Street in South Pittston. Festival organizers said the event brings the community together—today the festival will hold its final day from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.  WNEP
  • On Saturday, the fifth annual Rhythm and Wine festival returned to Moonlite Drive-In in West Wyoming—raising over $15,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of NEPA through ticket sales, sponsors and raffles. The event featured live music, food and more than 20 vendors offering wine, cider and moonshine.  PA Homepage

  • Two Little League Challenger teams from Luzerne County and Wyoming Valley played at Volunteer Stadium in South Williamsport today — each player received a medal in an exhibition game that gives all kids a chance to play baseball.  WNEP
  • On Saturday, the Wyoming Valley Challenger team played in the Little League Challenger Division Exhibition Game in South Williamsport and brought strong emotions to players and families. The event at a renovated field at the Bog in Wilkes-Barre featured guest coach Johnny Damon — teams from around the world cheered every play.  WVIA
