- ➤ The 10th Annual Never Forgotten Motorcycle Ride raised funds for first responders at VFW Post 25 on Rockwell Avenue in Scranton—bikers gathered even though the ride was canceled due to rain. Michael Cammerota said the event has given $88,000 over 10 years. WNEP
- ➤ The first-ever NEPA Trivia Fest took place at Moon Tavern in Dickson City on Sunday where six teams answered questions on music—dog breeds—movies as emcee Jeremy Lewan helped raise funds for the Weinberg Northeast Regional Food Bank. WNEP
- ➤ On Sunday, families enjoyed rides, food and games at the 108th Greene-Dreher-Sterling Fair in Newfoundland where visitors saw pet capybaras, otters, kangaroos + Tuck-Tuck the armadillo. - ➤ A house on the 700 block of Birch Street in Scranton was condemned after a fire on Saturday night at 10:30 p.m.—a fire inspector is investigating what sparked the blaze while no one was inside the home. PA Homepage

- ➤ The Hayfield Summer Arts Festival marked 39 years on August 24th at Penn State Wilkes-Barre by hosting over 120 artisans, crafters, performers, and food vendors while also featuring juggling, costumed storytelling, and art projects. - ➤ Steamtown National Historic Site hosted Arts in the Park Weekend on August 24th with tours of its new Visitor Center and galleries showing National Park posters and George Catlin’s paintings.
