- ➤ Police in Lackawanna County arrested a 48-year-old man and his girlfriend after a domestic dispute led to gunfire at their Jefferson Township home near Cortez Road Sunday night—he fled the scene and was taken into custody Monday while she faces charges for firing a 9mm round inside and another outside out of fear following a social media argument. - ➤ On Monday at 11 a.m., the final day of La Festa Italiana saw vendors set up in courthouse square as guests from New York, New Jersey, Maryland, and Virginia enjoyed pizza and pastries—drawing a large crowd.
