- ➤ Lackawanna County judges chose Brenda Sacco as the new county commissioner on September 4 — ending a months-long search after Matt McGloin’s resignation — and also named Lauren Bieber as county clerk of judicial records to replace Mauri Kelly who retired Tuesday. - ➤ Lackawanna County Commissioner Matt McGloin resigned in February and his exit has sparked a monthslong battle to pick a successor—local leaders are carefully navigating the replacement process. WVIA
