- ➤ Volunteers in Blakely Borough gathered at the Blakely Recreation Complex to collect over 300 signatures to stop a new data center from coming near their homes. They will deliver the petition at the Borough Council Meeting on September 15 & worry that the center could bring environmental and health risks to their community. FOX 56
- ➤ A local fire company hosted 'BBQ for Brody' to raise funds for the medical care of two-year-old Brody Penzack, who was seriously injured in an accident two weeks ago and is now recovering in a Bethlehem hospital — the event sold 800 meal tickets and 200 raffle baskets to cover his expenses. - ➤ Parishioners in Olyphant are celebrating the canonization of 15-year-old Saint Carlo Acutis, whose life of faith and modern style—wearing jeans, sneakers, and a jacket—inspires new believers. Father Scott and community members share stories of his love for video games and his message to stay close to Jesus. WNEP
- ➤ In Throop today, dozens of community members gathered to pray for 20-year-old Eddie Kaufman, a local athlete diagnosed with blood cancer as he prepared to attend college. The prayer vigil was held at center field with Father Scott leading and Team Eddie K raising funds for his recovery. FOX 56
- ➤ Roba Family Farms welcomed fall this past weekend with a dinosaur themed exhibition that offers giant dinosaur models and raptor training. The exhibit will run through October—then the farm will switch to a pumpkin harvest festival, continuing a 35-year family tradition. FOX 56

- ➤ A Butler Township resident stopped a burglary along Ironmaster Road on Friday by helping neighbors detain 52-year-old Scott Eroh—who was seen carrying a crowbar and other tools—until police arrived, and he was charged with possessing instruments of a crime and drug paraphernalia. FOX 56
