- ➤ Yesterday, the Scranton Police Department’s K9 unit visited the Lackawanna County Children’s Library where children met Aiden—a two-year-old Belgian Malinois who performed fence jumping, scent detection, and obedience commands. K9 Officer John Cantafio explained that the demonstration showed how police dogs are trained for many roles, including evidence searches and tracking missing persons. FOX 56

- ➤ In Archbald, a local player won $100,000 on a Powerball ticket with Power Play from the drawing on September 6 — the winning ticket matched four white balls and the red Powerball and would have been worth $50,000 without the extra option.
