- ➤ The Greenhouse Project is hosting a mum sale this weekend at Nay Aug Park — running from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. on Saturday and Sunday — to support free community programs through locally grown chrysanthemums. FOX 56
- ➤ Meals on Wheels of NEPA will leave its Wyoming Avenue location for a vacant warehouse on Cherry Street—upgrading its cooking equipment to double daily meal production to 5,000 meals and serve more seniors by next March. WNEP

- ➤ For the first time, Pennsylvania has allowed hunting on Sundays after lawmakers repealed the long ban and Gov. Shapiro signed Act 36 of 2025 in July—this law, in effect since Sept. 7, adds 13 hunting Sundays this fall while keeping migratory birds off limits. The first Sunday hunt will occur on Sept. 14 during squirrel season and covers select species like coyotes, woodchucks, and bobwhite quail. FOX 56
