On Tuesday, North Branch Land Trust held its fourth annual Barn Banquet at Friedman Farms in Dallas to celebrate NEPA’s farming history—supporting its mission to protect local farmlands and natural resources.

Emma Thompson, the trust’s Senior Director of Conservation and Operations, said the event gave community members a chance to remember the region’s agricultural heritage.

Local veteran and officer Ty Holmes released the second book in his Tyler the Unbreakable Kid series to help children talk about adoption and emotions—he donates the proceeds in memory of his adoptive father.
