- ➤ The Third Annual Mutts & Motors Car Show on Sunday near Clarks Summit showcased over 100 cars and hundreds of spectators to raise funds for Griffin Pond Animal Shelter. The event featured food and raffles to help cover the shelter's medical expenses for many animals. PA Homepage
- ➤ Today, runners and walkers in Scranton took part in the 38th Annual Show Your Stripes: Purple Edition Hot Rod 5K and Walk—benefiting the Ronald McDonald House with activities like raffles, face painting, and a special appearance by Grimace. - ➤ Scranton’s NEPA Youth Shelter under new director John W. Rosengrant is finishing a 3,500 square foot teen center on Providence Road—its space includes a food pantry, clothing closet, and volunteer support, with an open house planned by November.
