EDUCATION NEWS

  • Scranton School District paused its tutoring programs and professional development today as a state budget impasse forces cuts and delays in needed repairs—missing billions in state funds has depleted school reserves and risks harming both students and teachers. ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • The DEP has extended Keystone Sanitary Landfill’s operating permit until December 31, 2026 to allow extra time for reviewing its new odor control and leachate systems.
