- ➤ AV Restaurant in downtown Scranton, managed by Julie Thomas, was named the Most Haunted Restaurant in Pennsylvania by Food Network in 2019 — the building has eerie stories from its past such as a makeshift morgue and lingering paranormal activity. WNEP
- ➤ The Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic performed Mozart’s Requiem in a candlelit concert Thursday at Saint Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Wilkes-Barre and will perform it today at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Scranton as part of the CandleLit series running through December—both shows are sold out. - ➤ Volunteers led by the Eastern PA Coalition for Abandoned Mine Reclamation inspected bridges over Bowman Creek for two months to test water quality by measuring pH levels, sediment buildup, and creek dimensions.
