- ➤ Shoppers visited the pop-up Harvest Fall Market at the Scranton Public Market on Saturday—more than two dozen vendors sold baked treats, farm goods, and homemade items. Two more markets are scheduled at the Marketplace at Steamtown for November 22 and December 13. PA Homepage
- ➤ The Marketplace at Steamtown hosted Harvest Market that featured local vendors and promoted new business ideas. Jenna Urban from Sport Hill Creamery announced her new ice cream shop opening in Dunmore this spring—offering ice cream sandwiches, soft serve, and grab and go treats. FOX 56
- ➤ The Congolese Community of Scranton has maintained a garden off Cedar Avenue where fresh produce is grown to help refugee families save money and access nutritious food. Led by founder Ushu Mukelo, the group is seeking more land — a step that may allow it to donate surplus food to local organizations in the future. WVIA

- ➤ Tenor Health Foundation signed a definitive purchase agreement to acquire three Commonwealth Health hospitals and their clinics in Scranton and Wilkes-Barre — state leaders said the next step will be to secure funding to keep emergency and newborn services available for local patients. WNEP
- ➤ Nearly 300 people joined last Saturday's second annual diabetes 5K and walk in Scranton. Eight-year-old Calla McHugh's mom organized the race after her diagnosis to raise awareness for type 1 diabetes. WNEP
