- ➤ Scranton’s Santa Train rides offer a final festive journey this weekend at Steamtown National Historic Site. Families will enjoy an hour-long trip through the historic rail yard and Nay Aug Park with music, a Santa visit, and holiday activities, while proceeds support the Iron Horse Society (rail heritage preservation). - ➤ A large tree fell on a home on Ralph Ln. in Moosic today, displacing a family while all occupants escaped without injury and received shelter from neighbors and the Red Cross as first responders arrived to secure the area. FOX 56

- ➤ Scranton’s Green Ridge Street Bridge has reopened after nearly a year-long closure amid a $20 million replacement project; work will continue on the north side — curbs, sidewalks, drainage and traffic signals are set to be completed next fall. PA Homepage

- ➤ Attorney Keith Figured advises residents to document signs such as physical injuries, emotional shifts and financial changes when suspecting elder abuse in a nursing home, taking dated photos and keeping records as evidence. He recommends contacting the Pennsylvania Department of Aging Hotline (1-800-490-8505) immediately. FOX 56

- ➤ The Riverside and Holy Cross boys basketball teams are set to face off as the Lackawanna League and Wyoming Valley conference games begin soon in Scranton.
