- ➤ Santa toured local neighborhoods escorted by the Scranton Fire Department & Pennsylvania State Police during the annual Sidewalk Santa event on Saturday, Dec. 20. The tour began at 11 a.m. and ended at 4 p.m., with families enjoying special treat bags at 11 stops. FOX 56
- ➤ Luzerne County partnered with Midwest Food Bank + Fork Over Love on Saturday at the Zarra Building in Pittston to distribute hot meals and produce, including eggs, milk, and vegetables, to over 60 cars. Organizers plan additional distributions to support local families this winter. WNEP

- ➤ Brie Robertson’s Nothing Much Pop Up is open at Wyoming Valley Mall in Wilkes-Barre, where visitors can get creative with a slime bar, charm jewelry station, and fragrance bar — the pop-up runs until December 28. FOX 56
- ➤ WVIA radio host and engineer George Graham (a Carbondale native) is retiring after 53 years of service; his final broadcast airs Jan. 2. A retirement party was held Dec. 16 at the station’s Jenkins Township studios, honoring decades of community radio. WVIA

- ➤ Crews are working to restore power after wind-driven outages left over 17,000 PPL customers without electricity, with repairs underway in multiple affected areas (residents should check local outage maps and steer clear of damaged lines). FOX 56

- ➤ Local pharmacists remind Scranton residents to ask about discount coupons and prescription assistance programs to lower drug costs.
