- ➤ Scranton city officials awarded $100,000 in grants on Monday to eight local veterans organizations after reviewing applications from April as part of the city’s 2025 operating budget, with funds supporting essential services including transportation, housing, facility upgrades and mental health counseling. - ➤ Over 725 students became alumni of the University of Scranton today as the graduation ceremony celebrated the benefits of a Jesuit education with a message from student speaker Sophia Termini and remarks from future doctor Alex Shomali.
