- ➤ Five assessment appeals boards began hearing appeals on about 4,200 new property values in Lackawanna County Monday—hearings that will continue through Halloween as counties and school districts prepare new tax rates. County officials will deliver final values by November 14 while additional formal appeals may be received before the deadline. WVIA
- ➤ State Sen. Rosemary Brown will host a Senate Policy Committee hearing on Monday, Aug. 11 at Valley View High School in Archbald to address community concerns over data centers and clarify government procedures & the hearing will run from 1 to 4 p.m. with residents encouraged to submit written questions ahead of time while it is live streamed.
